The Beaver who found a treasure of trees in Palmer Woods in The Woodlands, Texas

This cute little beaver has found himself a treasure with all of the trees that line the pond at the Palmer Golf Course.

He did get a little over ambitious on this tree ...

 

Hopefully these cages will protect the trees.

 

You can catch a glimpse of him and a friend swimming under this bridge in the mornings.

Ah!  Bad beaver!  Several years ago, there was a little guy in suburban Virginia who was knawing down some really huge old trees.  There wound up being a bounty on his head.
