A picture is worth a THOUSAND words .... Make sure it is what you want and it represents your home.
#1 - Make sure your house is clean and tidy.
#2 - Remove all clutter both inside and outside. (and yes, people notice your garage)

It doesn't take that much extra time or care to make sure the pictures of your home are bright and show your property in the best light possible!

Pippa, those are some pretty disgusting photos. Can't imagine anyone putting those on the Internet with their name behind it. Better to have no photo than photos like that.
As an amateur photographer, I find that bad photos for listings is one of my top pet peeves. What DO people think when taking or selecting photos which will be primary to their marketing strategy? Thanks for reminding us that we have to take care in how we present the clients' house in print or online.
They look like REO properties, I would hope so anyways.
It is very difficult to understand why any of these photos would be used to promote a property. Unfortunately this particular Realtor may fall prey to the very sad and very real "Realtor Photo" tactic--where the photo of themselves is 15+yrs old and you can't recognize the person when you actually meet them in person.
I also love that homey touch with the drained bottle of brandy or tequilla sitting on the microwave. It lends itself to the quality of life going on in that space.
But aren't these foreclosured homes? If yes, I welcome these photos! I'd rather show my client before getting there and wasting my time and gas. Plus, I need to know if FHA will approve and this helps me. I'd rather see these photos than no photos. It saves me time. Of course if this is not a foreclosued..uckkk! But I'm sure it probably is, right?

Sure looks foreclosed. Looks like they took off in the night and just abandoned the place.
It does look like a foreclosure about to happen, but why would a realtor bother to put those pictures in the MLS.

PIPPA - I see so many photos on our MLS that just make me shake my head in disbelief. I can't remember which listing it was on, or I would include it in this post, but I just saw one that was posted sideways. If not for the roll of toilet paper hanging off of the wall, I wouldn't have even known that it was a bathroom.
