Joan - this is a perfect example to show clients on what a difference paint can make

First, what a wonderful job. I will have to share this with one of my clients, it should help. All my best, Jim

This is exactly the kind of post that I would show a client when discussing how to prepare a home for sale. Sometimes when they can see the dramatic difference in before and after pictures, they become able to see their home through a potential buyer's eyes.

Pippa - Wow!  Somebody really liked the color blue, didn't they?  I love the transformation!  :)

Don't you wonder sometimes if owners have gone colorblind or what?  The difference is outrageous and wonderful.  Thanks for sharing.  I wish I could afford to have you fly out and do my house.

What a difference paint choices can make, huh?  I can see that the home owner enjoyed the blues, but when you made them realize that they were painting to SELL, they certainly stepped up to the plate!  Great job.

What a difference.  I love that stove just wish I could cook.

There must have been a big sale on blue paint a few years back, LOL. Nice improvement.

Posted by Rich Mielke, REALTOR, Frederick Maryland Real Estate (Realty Executives of Frederick MD) 11 months ago

Excellent transformation!  Love the choice of colors.  That blue in the kitchen totally didn't go with that stainless steel oven/range.

Even after 27 years of being in the real estate business, I continue to be stunned by transformations of homes by paint.  Using the lighter colors, and taking down the heavy draperies, allowedthe appearance of space, and airiness.  Congratulations on the sale.

Pippa,

Great presentation! This has given me some great ideas.  I have a new listing coming on the market - contemporary and I'm trying to determine the best use of $$s to maximize their ROI.  I may call you about this one.

Amazing what a little paint and updating can do.  I've heard wallpaper is making a comeback like in the dining room.  They did an amazing job!

Hi Pippa!  First of all, congrats on that little gold star!  What a stunning transformation--AND for 6 figure PROFIT?!  AMAZING what a little vision will do for a home, isn't it?

Posted by Carol Smith (Concept Builders/Shamrock Valley) 11 months ago

That was a big difference.  A little paint and staging sure goes a long way.

Pippa, do you do these things yourself or what? I can't imagine the cost involved, even it's just paint it cost something.

Posted by Charles Stallions Real Estate 800-309-3414 Pensacola, Fl. 11 months ago

I do love before and after shots, whether it's staging or makeovers or anything.  A picture truly is worth a thousand words.  I'm excited I just found out that one of my garden club members is a decorator who does staging, and I can't wait to work with her.

Pippa, there is hardly anyone here in the Rain that does better before and after pictures than you.

Posted by Gary Woltal - Associate Broker REALTOR® Dallas Ft. Worth (Keller Williams Realty) 11 months ago

Wow, that house went from outdated Colonial to modern, fresh, and clean!  I think white cabinets always renew a kitchen.   I love the wallpaper, but my husband who was a painter and had to remove wallpaper from many clients homes, will never let me use it!

Hi Pippa! Dale from Houston (Dramatic Home Staging) - AWESOME transformation. Love the choices and application of princiiples of elements and design.  Thanks for showing realtors, who haven't yet grasped the benefits of staging, that staging does work and to the realtors/clients advantage.  Great post!
